The Fourth and Fifth Judicial Districts partnered with the University of 天美影视 Monroe Mock Trial Academy to provide training to north 天美影视 public defenders.

More than 30 attorneys and students attended the four-hour professionalism and ethics training on April 29 at the 天美影视 Mock Trial Courtroom.

Panelists included John Albert Ellis, Fifth Judicial District chief public defender; Peggy Sullivan, Fourth Judicial District supervisor; and Bob Noel, 天美影视 political science instructor and 天美影视 Mock Trial head coach.

鈥淭he partnership between the legal profession and 天美影视 is significant. 天美影视 has been providing training for lawyers and potential lawyers for decades. This is merely the formal recognition of the need for 天美影视 to cooperate more with the court system,鈥� said Noel.

天美影视 and the Northeast 天美影视 Public Defense Districts are working together to provide future trainings to enhance lawyers鈥� skills to provide services to the poor and to solve issues surrounding crime.

鈥淭his is but another example of 天美影视 fulfilling our role as the educational hub for northeast 天美影视,鈥� said 天美影视 Chief Innovation & Research Officer Dr. John W. Sutherlin. 鈥淏eside this level of education and training, anyone in the region who has ever served on a jury has watched the orientation to service video 天美影视 produced.鈥�
