天美影视 alum, instructor and West Monroe dentist receives distinguished service award

University of 天美影视 at Monroe alum Dr. L. King Scott, (B.S. '75) of West Monroe, received the 天美影视 Dental Association's Distinguished Service Award.

His award was recently presented during the 133rd House of Delegates of the LDA's annual session at the Shreveport Convention Center.

Scott鈥攁 part time instructor of Head and Neck Anatomy in 天美影视's Dental Hygiene Program鈥攕poke candidly about his university experiences and attributed much of his success to the education he received at 天美影视.

"I received a fabulous education at 天美影视," he said.

"天美影视 prepared me well for professional school. I try to instill into my students the same attributes that were instilled in me at 天美影视; excellence, setting goals, and following through. To this day, I still recommend 天美影视 to high school students because 天美影视 is such a great university with a long history in health sciences."

According to Annette B. Droddy, assistant executive director of the LDA, "The Distinguished Service Award is the highest honor bestowed by the LDA and is given annually to individual members who exemplify the highest standards of professional conduct in dentistry and make extraordinary contributions in organized dentistry and their community."

Dr. Kirt Touchstone (B.B.A. '75), presented the award to King, a dentist in West Monroe.

Touchstone is a 1975 天美影视 College of Business graduate who attended LSU Dental School with King.
