The University of 天美影视 Monroe Gerontology program, in collaboration with the , will present a special seminar on elder abuse and neglect from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, via Zoom.
The free seminar, 鈥淲hen Love Hurts: Elder Abuse by Trusted People,鈥� is organized by Anita Sharma, Ph.D., 天美影视 Gerontology program director.
Speakers with the state Elderly Protective Services and 天美影视 Ombudsman Program will present case histories and reporting guidelines.
Topics will cover different types of abuse, including domestic violence, abuse in institutional settings, and abuse by trusted people who may not be family members.听
