It鈥檚 reality, electronics today can have a short shelf life. Old desktop computers, inkless-printers, broken smartphones and heavy old TVs could be cluttering your space. So what to do with those once beloved tech toys gathering dust?

听

Here鈥檚 an idea 鈥 on Saturday bring them to the parking lot at Brown Stadium for safe disposal.

听

From 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Ouachita Green is having Household Hazardous Waste Day as part of the 2017 Great American Clean-Up.

听

Area residents are welcome to dispose of 鈥 at no cost 鈥 the following items: paints, pesticides, household cleaners, tires, fuel, refrigerators and electronics. There will be recycling for paper, plastic and scrap iron.

听

Medical needles (aka sharps) will be accepted for the first time, and paper shredding will be provided by ShredIt (limit three boxes per household).

听

Ouachita Parish Sheriff鈥檚 Office deputies and code enforcement officials will be on site to direct traffic.
